Write Five Leads!

Write leads on the following five bits of information. Remember, only a sentence or two and look for some tension. Note: It's a mixed bunch of stuff. The point is to try and make a story of what you see.

1. Gender and ethnicity graph.

2. Recent findings of a Suffolk University/7NEWS (WSVN-Miami) poll on the popularity of major political personalities among likely Florida voters. Note in particular favorable and unfavorable response percentages:

3. This post at Buzzfeed:

Note how many times it has been tweeted and shared on Facebook.

4. Dental visits and politics. The top image is from the 2008 presidential election. The blue states voted for Barack Obama; the red states for John McCain. The bottom image is a map of dental visits in the United States. People in dark green states have better insurance and take better care of their teeth; in the light green states, people have worse health insurance and visit dentists less frequently and their teeth are in generally worse shape.

5. Left:  Angelina Jolie, Oscar night in February. Right: Anja Rubik, Victoria's Secret model, at the Met Gala in New York City this week.
